How it fits a phone shop
Phones and devices are tracked by serial number, and the serial (such as the IMEI) is recorded on the bill. When a unit comes back, the return is recorded against that serial.
Each product can carry a warranty period, and the phone shop billing screen shows serials and warranty on each line of the bill.
