How CubiclePOS helps

What a supermarket needs from a POS

Thousands of items, busy counters and goods with expiry dates. These are the parts of CubiclePOS that matter most for a supermarket.

Barcode billing

Scan or search items and build the bill quickly, with multi-item quick billing for busy times.

Touch-screen billing

Tap items on a touch screen or tablet at the counter, take payment and print.

Several counters

Set up a billing counter for each till, all in the same system.

WhatsApp and SMS e-bills

Send the bill to the customer's phone by WhatsApp or SMS.

Batches and expiry dates

Keep stock by batch, with batch numbers, manufacture and expiry dates, and prices per batch.

Expiry warnings

Expired batches are flagged while billing, and scanning an item shows which batches are fresh, expiring soon or expired.

Bulk and single units

Buy by the case, box or bundle and sell by the piece, with a conversion such as 1 case = 24 units and a separate bulk price.

Low-stock list

See which items are running low, so you know what to reorder before it runs out.

Purchases and GRN

Record purchases and goods received notes against each supplier, and track supplier payments.

Barcode labels

Design and print barcode price labels in Label Studio.

Multi-branch stock

See live stock in every branch and move goods between branches with stock transfers.

Day summary and cash count

See the day's sales, payments, expenses and profit, and count the cash drawer at day-end.

In practice

How it fits a supermarket day

At the counter, cashiers scan or search items and the right price comes up every time. The bill prints as a thermal receipt, and the customer can also get it on WhatsApp or SMS.

Behind the counter, every sale and every goods received note updates stock by itself. Batches carry their expiry dates, so items close to expiry show up before they become a loss, and expired batches are flagged if someone tries to bill them.

At day-end, the day summary shows sales, payments, expenses and profit, and the cash count shows any difference in the drawer at once.

Useful for supermarkets

  • Buy by the case and sell by the piece, with the conversion set once
  • Price labels printed from Label Studio, so shelf prices match the till
  • Bulk stock entry for big deliveries
  • Sinhala and Tamil item names alongside English
  • Check sales and stock from your phone when you are away

We're based in Weligama, and because CubiclePOS runs in a web browser, it works for businesses anywhere in Sri Lanka. We arrange demos over WhatsApp.
